HAWK HAPPENINGS
The 8th Grade Blackhawk Band has been setting their main focus on their All Region try-outs set for December 3rd, 2013. However, they have also been working on learning songs to play for the pep rallies. Derek S. and Austin L., a tuba a trumpet player, are currently working with the high school marching band for contest.

The eighth grade percussionists played through the hallways on their way to the last pep rally on October 31st.
Solo & Ensemble Competition
On February 7th, 84 students travled to Canyon High School to compete in the UIL Solo & Ensemble competition. Bushland came home with 99 first division medals.
